Whimsical Fullerton Arboretum Wedding

Katherine & Matthew have such lovely energy and are so fun to be around! I was lucky enough to associate shoot both their engagement photos & wedding. I could really feel how comfortable they were with me, so that was awesome! They already were familiar with my style of posing, which just made for a very smooth time during portraits during their Fullerton Arboretum Wedding. It made me realize, from a photographer’s stand point, the importance of working closely with couples before their big day! 

Fullerton Arboretum Wedding in California

The Fullerton Arboretum was such an awesome space for their wedding. Though it was one of the hottest days of the year, we were at least welcomed with shade throughout the gardens and venue. This is one of those spots that has an unlimited amount of spaces to take photos… We were basically surrounded by pine trees for their first look and walked about 50 feet to find a grassy pond area. A beautiful garden with colorful flowers during sunset portraits… you can’t go wrong with photos at this venue– and I’m pretty sure we only saw about 1/4 of the entire space! This venue is beautiful and has everything that you need!

Their First Dance & Whimsical Wedding Decorations

Katherine & Matthew had been practicing their dance for a while leading up to the wedding. And I understood why when they started going at it. They danced to the “UP” theme, which is both emotional and warm all at the same time. They literally killed it! I don’t know if they repeated a single move on that dance floor. It was awesome to watch! Their wedding decor and theme was very whimsical and unique as it felt really authentic to them. I loved it! They literally cut their cake with a sword!!!!
