It was so cool to finally photograph in Oregon! The energy from this early, foggy morning on the Oregon Coast is unmatched. I will be dreaming of the next time I get to return to the PNW! 3 Tips for Your Beach Oregon Couples Photoshoot

1. Research Photoshoot Locations

Pacific City is a real hot spot for various beautiful locations on the Oregon Coast, and the Cape Kiwanda area definitely didn’t disappoint! Research different areas to discover where you could envision yourself and if there is any information that you need to know before your session. 2. Don’t Rely on the Weather

Though this beach is known for Haystack Rock, it was so gloomy we unfortunately couldn’t see it… but that’s Oregon for ya! It was still so beautiful. To be honest, the fog made it even more of a memorable spot. Personally, I love a gloomy moment! The weather is hard to predict, so prepare to be flexible, and choose a photographer that is able to work with different lighting and various weather. 

3. Choose a Photographer that You Connect With

While you should research a photographer that is able to work well with the weather and different lighting, you also need to choose a photographer that you genuinely connect with! You will have a lot more fun and will feel more comfortable with a photographer with a personality that you enjoy. You should feel confident with their skills, love their style, and feel excited that they will help guide you throughout the photoshoot!
