There’s something undeniably special about backyard weddings. Especially when it’s for a couple as kind and in love as Dylan and Mint! This past March, they had A Beautiful Backyard Wedding in Los Angeles and it was the perfect blend of elegance and ease. It was a setting that felt both elevated and deeply personal. From the stylish decor to the relaxed atmosphere, every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple. It was intimate, heartfelt, and beautifully timeless in every way. The kind of wedding you look back on and instantly smile!
A Change of Plans That Led to Something Even More Beautiful
Dylan and Mint’s wedding day was originally planned for the stunning Bel Air Bay Club, a venue known for its breathtaking ocean views and timeless California elegance. I was so excited to photograph there, but in January, wildfires near Malibu affected the surrounding neighborhoods. Unfortunately, it forced the couple to pivot their plans. In just a matter of weeks, with the help of their families and planner, they reimagined the entire celebration! The way everyone came together to make it happen was so inspiring to me, and honestly, it felt like the day was always meant to unfold this way. The Bel Air Bay Club has recently reopened, and I still absolutely hope to photograph there soon. But, this celebration reminded me that even the most unexpected changes can lead to something incredibly meaningful!

The new setting for their wedding ended up being the most perfect backdrop. The entire space felt like a hidden gem: intimate, elevated, and effortlessly beautiful. Clean, modern touches were paired with soft florals and warm tones, creating an atmosphere that felt both curated and relaxed. Every single little detail felt like it was made just for them! It was one of those days where nothing felt forced, just genuine love, and the kind of joy that lasts for years.
